Around The Club
Collie Pageant 2024
A Brief History of the Collie Pageant
The Collie Pageant has its roots in the early 20th century, originating as a small community gathering aimed at showcasing local talent and fostering a sense of unity. Over the decades, it has evolved into a major event marked by elaborate ceremonies, stunning performances, and a commitment to highlighting the best of what the community has to offer.
Held on Saturday 21st December, this year's Pageant was well patronised.
The Collie RSL's restored Ferrit Scout Car was "tinseled" up for the Xmas parade.
Plus Fitness and some old guys
Quiet a few of our members participate in the DVA Fitness Program. Today was the last session at Plus Fitness Gym for the year, so leotards were swapped for silly hats and glasses.
Thank you, Teagan, Lauren, and Sam, for your patience and guidance throughout the year.
Pizza Heaven
The commissioning of the new pizza oven Thursday 5th December was a complete success. Over twelve pizzas were expertly cooked up for members and such was the success and popularity of the night, it was unanimously agreed at the following Club Monthly Meeting to purchase a second oven to allow six pizzas to be cooked at once. Pizzas (on designated nights TBA) will be available to Members and families for a $5/pizza contribution to the Club.
Well done, Marco.
Club Improvements - the new blinds
The new outside blinds are looking spectacular.
Digger Bill
What are the chances that a small leak in the reticulation would be under the cement path? Lucky Billy Goltz was on hand to dig up most of the retic, re-route the piping and secure the fittings.
Well done Bill
